Her work focuses on how laser-induced changes in surface morphology, chemistry and wettability can influence the interaction of materials with biological systems. She is especially interested in the practical connection between laser processing conditions, resulting surface properties and biological response, including the development of antibacterial and biofunctional surfaces.
In her webinar, focused on laser surface functionalization, she will share this interdisciplinary perspective and show how laser processing can be used as a tool for tailoring surfaces for biological applications.
